Visiting this website

This website is hosted using Bluehost services. To deliver the website and protect it against misuse, the hosting infrastructure processes technical connection data, which may include your IP address, the date and time of your request, the requested resource, response status, browser and operating system information, and referring URL where transmitted by your browser.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interests are reliable delivery, technical operation and security of this website. Hosting and technical service providers receive data as needed to provide these services. Technical records are retained for as long as necessary for operation, fault diagnosis and security, and longer where required for a specific security incident or legal obligation.

Contacting me

The contact button opens your own email application; it does not submit a form on this website. If you email me, I process the information you send, including your email address and message, to respond and handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries concerning a potential or existing contract, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other business correspondence, based on the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

Email service providers process correspondence as necessary to deliver and store messages. Correspondence is kept while needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and where statutory record-keeping duties or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims require retention. Providing information is voluntary, but I may be unable to respond without sufficient contact details.

Cookies, analytics and external content

The website files do not set cookies or use browser storage, analytics, advertising trackers, externally loaded fonts or embedded third-party media. The bridge graphic and styling are included in the website itself.

International processing

Bluehost is part of the Newfold group. Its services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Information on the provider’s processing and transfer safeguards, and how to obtain its Data Processing Addendum, is available in the Newfold privacy notice. You may also contact me to request information about safeguards applicable to your data.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

You may complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for Hesse is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
